We’re a small charity with big plans to improve healthcare for everyone in Zanzibar.

We work in two hospitals, in health centres and out in the community. But we won’t stop until everyone has access to safe treatments. We cover everything from newborn care to emergency medicine. All our work is in partnership with the Ministry of Health, so the vital changes we make are here to stay.

Our Work

From the grassroots to the Government, HIPZ is embedded in every level of the health care system in Zanzibar and we are a catalyst for positive change. We run our flagship programme in two hospitals, and strengthen systems at hospital and government level.
