Right now, we all need a reason to get out in the fresh air. HIPZ has created a challenge that gives you the chance to do something amazing. Join the Zanzibar 85, travel the equivalent of the 85km from Makunduchi to Kivunge hospital this February, and raise vital funds to help the people of Zanzibar to access safe healthcare at the same time.
To sign up, just click on the green ‘Register’ button on this page, and you’ll be guided through the process to register for the event and set up your fundraising page. The target is to travel 85km and raise £50, but if you want to raise more you can change your target when you set your page up.
Logging your activities
The simplest way to track your progress is to sync with your Strava account, which you’ll have the option to do when you sign up. Once you’ve completed this step, you need to record your walks and runs throughout February, and they will automatically be added to your personal fundraising page.
If you aren’t a Strava user, or you forget to log an activity, you can simply click the ‘Add an activity’ button below your distance target on your page, and enter the details manually.
Share your page
Once you’ve registered, you’ll be sent an email with the link to your own personal fundraising page. You can send that link out to friends and family, and there is also a tool on your page that will let you share your page or activities directly to Facebook.
Join or create a team
You can join up with friends or colleagues to see how much you can raise together, or compete against other teams to see who can raise the most! When you register, you’ll have the option to create a team, or find one that’s already up and running, and you can join it. You can also do this later if you prefer. Once you’ve set up a team, you’ll be given the opportunity to send an invite out to invite others to join you. You will all still individually have the same target – £50 to fundraise each, and 85km to walk or run throughout Feburary, but as a team you’ll be able to see how much you’ve raised collectively.
If you have any questions, just contact email@example.com and we’ll help you get started.
